The joint developers of Mataffin Macadamia, Tony Lagerwey (Pty) Ltd and HL Halls & Sons (Pty) Ltd have a combined track record extending back more than 170 years. Lagerwey's has been one of Mpumalanga’s leading developers of over-49 adult communities for more than 15 years. The company – which has been in construction and development since 1959 – developed the first Macadamia Village in White River 17 years ago, and has developed two more successful Macadamia Villages since then, in Nelspruit and Tzaneen.

Halls Properties are the respected name behind flagship Lowveld developments such as Riverside Park, The Grove, Halls Gateway, Riverside Gardens and Garden Pavilion – to name just a few of their projects.
